A few years ago I found a butterfly in my office in November. It was a bit of a surprise, so I photographed it. Today, while searching for a waterproof bag cover in our utility room cupboard, something dropped to the floor. when I went to pick it up it started flapping. It turned out to be a similar butterfly to the one I’d snapped earlier. I believe it was hibernating. It looked rather groggy at first. But it woke up quickly then decided it was time to leave. So we let it out of the kitchen window and said bye.
Herb Miller lives in Rowlands Castle with his wife and two cats. He's been collecting SBs for nearly half his lifetime. If you ask him why he’ll say Simply Because. His favourites to date are the short but sweet, palindromic sub bus, the sulphurous brewmasters Googlewhack and of course, seriously bonkers, simply brilliant and silly B. He fully expects his short booklet to become a shortlisted bestseller.
