Until recently we had two gates to the road. Apart from days when the wind has blown them, they’ve never been shut. They’re showing signs of aging. I decided it was time to take them down. This screw delayed the process somewhat. Having failed to loosen it with an impact screwdriver I tried drilling it out. That failed too, so I resorted to brute force with a crow bar. I’m pleased to report that one gate has now been removed and dismantled. Not sure what to do with all the ironmongery yet.
