The Starscape block is a new block for the WordPress block editor.
It’s like a Cover block but instead of having a static background image, plain simple background colour or snazzy background gradient it has a starry background. The background is actually a gradient with several brightnesses that have been preset. If you choose a Density of 1 and Speed of 1 the block is sensationally boring.
Another view of it came from Ross Wintle, who’d prompted me to create this entry in the first place.
Strangely beautiful. Like sparkling blots on a slate black stark backdrop.
